About this Collection

It's a Triptych of Digital Art we made based on a story of the triumph of art over financial technology. The idea behind the artwork is that in the age of digital technology and blockchain that real artwork NFTs will become more powerful & beloved as assets than whatever crypto speculation, social media, or dealmaking may bring to the table. The works are an attestation to the disruptive power of art. For this we chose for each one of the three artworks to do in the style of one of the great surrealists: Magritte, Tanguy, and Dali. The common thread however is the silent hubris of modern financial technology which in the left panel is represented by Stanley Kubrick's Monolith making a cameo appearance in the background. There is a looming threat that hangs over a 'hollow deal' but we are left unawares as to what the deal actually entails. The center piece of the panel of the Triptych is a depiction of bitcoin & blockchain guru Satoshi Nakamoto whose rabid followers focus on speculation as means to get rich quick rather than on real production in life, or on the power of art & beauty for that matter. It is a quintessential digital art NFT in that here the art itself - in the form of an NFT – is shown to trump financial market crypto speculation. In the right panel one sees an anthropomorphism of Lady Technology make a grand entrance on a surrealist desert fashion runway. But time gets distorted as the front row attendees on the runway pay attention to themselves and to social media on their handheld devices rather than to the iconic figure parading in front of them. Time is wasted. But not the power of art as only the viewer can realize. What ties the three pieces together is the Monolith in the left panel which is also reflected in the silver ball on the right panel while a black sun under which Satoshi Nakamoto is sitting in the centerpiece represents the modern god of financial technology. It’s called the great singularity. This Triptych is the first out of three. Eventually our intent is to create two more Triptych in order to complete the collection.
